As most of you know, Unisys publishes a monthly "Scorecard" which discusses various trends in the travel industry (usually the airlines). The latest issue is titles "Culture and Change - Friend or Foe?".
It is more general in nature than most issues, but an interesting read - here's Unisys' description:
This month we do something just a bit different in Scorecard. We examine airline corporate culture and its association with the current state of industry affairs. While not being an analytical sort of topic, its influence on change is almost immeasurable. Like the divide between motivation and behavior; behavior being discernable and measurable but inseparable from the less definable motivation that caused it, culture permeates decisions and outcomes. Essentially then, we are left with a story, an overview of how the current players developed and have acted on their worldviews and how that chain of events has contributed to the present predicament. Not exactly “Once upon a time†but nonetheless...
