If by chance YOU peruse this board, which I'M sure is monitored-suggestion.

Offer a semi decent BUYOUT>>>
and I'm not referring to the last- let me refresh: 5 years+flying bennies only..

I for 1 w/ 20 yrs ***waves hand******.

Do consider it....

An early package would smooth out employee relations, at least a little. Allow those who want to leave......... leave. And get back some of our junior employees at half the pay and fewer earned vacation days per year....... <_<

Personally, I would love to go back. I would be near the bottom of the payscale in my classification, have only 1 week of vacation (thanks IAM), have never used a sick day or the insurance beyond office visits for an annual physical. I am sure I would save the company a ton of money over some 30 year people, who would love to leave, but don't have the numbers to make it work.

"wonder if "Scrooge" has perused this board.

Then again, something that makes sense,,they are blindsided by...

They spend dollars to save cents.

If the powers that be would offer free flying benefits to whomever is on your term pass for the rest of their lives, a lot of people would choose to leave USAir. USAir wouldn't lose anything by offering that, but would gain immensely because a lot of senior people would accept leaving the company for free flights. That is the only thing that we have to look forward too. With the price that we have to pay for medical, you could find a better and cheaper plan on your own if you go right to the provider.
