Dan Rather was just talking about USAvaition.com back on DEC20th and quoted a poster talking about PHL and baggage sick calls. I am going back to try and find the post but Rather called it "WARNING ON THE INTERNET"

You beat me to it. While he did not mention USAviation by name, it was clear which internet site he was referring.

Wow, you two posters must make 1/2 the viewership of CBS Evening News. We don't have to worry about about the masses listening that shriveled up old has-been. He has zero remaining clout.

This squarely places blame on management, in my opinion. We know they monitor these boards, and yes, there was a warning almost a week before the first sick call. Why didn't they increase staffing and warn people ahead of time that if they are sick during they holidays, they had better return with a doctor's excuse? Another blunder!

I guess that's one shriveled up old has-been reporting on another one-USAirways.

You're probably a Fox news hound aren't you?

Well count me as another 1/4th. I saw it as well

I think if I was Hack I would be looking for a very deep hole to hide in.

I am kinda fuzzy on the whole blaming management thing...

Seems like the robbers blaming the bank for their robbery, because of the bank not having enough guards...

You were hired to work, if you are scheduled to work, and call off sick without being sick, it is in no way the fault of others... The blame rests solely upon your pathetic and self centered butt alone.

To those who did do ther job, made tougher NOT by management, but by the jerks that abused sick time, Thank you.

For those that should have been there, but decided that their own selfish needs or issues came first came first... Merry Christmas Jacka%#es...!

You cant prove who was at the computer when the post was made.

It is just a facade to placate the DOT.

You would think that Dan Rather would have learned a lesson on suspect sources awhile ago. (The Bush Air National Guard Records Scandal).

Please tell me again what his retirement date is. (LOL)

Does anyone else think that John Roberts will replace this left leaning scandal rag of a journalist. Gee I miss Walter Cronkite. :(

I didn't say that the offending employees were in the right. But okay, I'll bite! Using your analogy, let me ask you this. If on Friday you placed 1000 gold bars and your mother's wedding ring in a safe deposit box at your bank, and at 5:00 on Friday afternoon your bank manager didn't lock the safe deposit vault, didn't set the alarm, and dropped the key to the front door of the bank in the parking lot, and on Monday morning you learned your precious posessions had been stolen, who would you blame?

Oh, and by the way, don't think in this analogy that I don't know who the bank manager is!

Absolutely, I love my fair and balanced news!!!! :)

It wasn't just on the evening news, it was also on CNBC, and US Air WAS mentioned by name. Be careful what you say/write. you may think the company can't "prove" anything, but I wouldn't want to be the shmoe that is trying to sue a BK company for wrongfull termination. Future employers don't typically like the "I got fired from my last job..." response. Be safe out there, and keep working. I'm routing for you.

Concisely put. That is as acurate as it gets.
