Cae Lands Orders In Dubai And With Us Airways

Why is US Airways spending $6.5 million on simulators if they are planning to sell PSA? I thought we were trying to conserve and raise cash, I.E. selling assets.

i still feel that PSA is the only stable division at this point in the Group. Dave and his cronies have said several times, that PSA is the golden child- because- quite frankly they are just as cheap as a contract carrier for the company only wholly owned. Remember Dave's stint at COEX? Watch and wait.. although i have a feeling the waiting won't be long. Hey turn PSA into a LCC? they contracts already support it. why not!?! :p

It was heated, but what i meant was the fact that they did such a good job at stepping up to the plate with consessions before everyone else. If you can call that a good job?????? anyway you look at it, whatever they did it was favored upon

USA320Pilot answers: You can only sell what the buyer wants and it's better to have a turn-key operation. With that said, there is always the chance PSA will not be sold, but I have been lead to believe it will be "spun off".

Then again it could be a moot point if Airways decides to effect the idea of selling assets that they've been toying around with. I'm a ground pounder at PIT (exp PSA station, for those who didn't know) and working with all the exp carriers as we do, you can imagine the rumors we hear.

But one stands out above all the rest:

Mesa is gunning to acquire PSA.

This is the most consistent thing I've been hearing ever since the announcement of possible sale of assets.

Kind of scary, but completely believeable.
