BUSINESS SELECT?

SWA's "Business Select" is working. The customers who use it are satisfied and it's bringing in more revenue which was the plan.

The original poster in this thread can not think outside the box of traditional old school airline thinking.

Of course it is, the only people that remember the U "biz select" are the employee's who are still stuck over there....the passengers certainly aren't like, "didn't Usiar have a product like 15 years ago called business select"....too freaken funny.

I would imagine that there are a few business travelers in BWI that remember business select at US. I could not care less if you use it, I thought it was funny that you guys would use the name of one of US Air's most amazing failures.

I really doubt that. Only aviation employees and enthusiasts would remember the name of a failed product 15 years ago. Even I (enthusiast) had forgotten USAir's 'business select'.

Something that ceases to exist, and thus is no longer marketed, for 15 years, will be forgotten by 99.9999% of the target population. You need a lot of advertising just to get people to remember something available now that they will forget about tomorrow.

Thats the way I'm thinking it too JS, lol. Passengers have very short memories, luckily, and if its something as stupid as another brilliant idea from Usair that failed, I'm quite sure they long ago have forgtten about that.

PIbratt, just because U used a certain name and the product itself failed doesn't mean that WN can't use the same name and make their product work. Don't get so upset PIbratt, lol.

Not necessarily...they DO remember the good things. Back in 1992, I flew US from MCI-SFO..an upgrade to first class was pretty reasonable, so I did it. They used to have a lot of little touches that I had never seen in domestic first class on AA or DL..and I haven't seen since.

Good point, and hey KC, whats up? I don't get over here too much, still see the WN haters come over and spend WAY too much time on an airline that sucks board, lol.

BTW, we are hosting the first Message to the Field this year, MDW has been socked in because of weather, they were supposed to be the first city. All the big wigs stopped by the shop yesterday and visited for a few hours, including Gary Kelly, he seemed to be an honest and straight forward guy, no BS with him.

Our company for sure isn't sitting around wondering what to do next, we have a lot of things coming up for us and our passengers.
