Did management look into the Boeing 717 instead of resting the companies future in an armada of rj's?

I would bet not. The 717's would be Mainline A/C, and they wouldn't be able to beat us all to death with Express and MDA poverty wages. Im's sure they could have struck a bargain deal on some A-318's as well.

i don't think they have too many friends anymore at boeing.after the wolfe man porked them over delivery options and then bought the buses....we be "persona non grata".

I sat next to someone from fleet planning? on a flight. Its been three or four months and I can't remember for sure what department they were in. He mntioned that the B717 and its proposed 130 seat derivitave have been looked at with the EMB 190/195 as replacements for the B737 fleet toward the seconf half of the decade. He actually indicated that the B717 was a heck of an airplane and the better product and if Boeing ever offered a deal with the right economics it might be the eventually replacement for the 737. I think he said the A319/A318 wouldn't be economical in a lot of the 737 markets.

Boeing wouldn't care Delldude. An order is an order, and especially so for an aircraft like the 717, which is struggling to stay in production.

On top of that, in case you have not noticed, Wolfe is not here anymore, and neither is Condit at Boeing. Plus we still buy parts from Boeing, and haev a Boeing customer code.
