I know that the US web site lists current carry on baggage dimension limits as per BAA for all UK to US bound flights. When I dimension it out, it appears that they're only letting folks carry on a briefcase-sized bag (officially 35cm x 45cm x 16 cm h/l/w or 13.7in x 17.7 in x 6.3 in).
This would mean that my usual Travel Pro carry on bag is slightly oversized at 13x17x9 inches. Are they letting folks carry on this sort of bag, or is the policy static? It's not the worst thing if I have to check the bag, but if so, I'll also bring my 13x16x6 computer bag ( sans computer ) when we fly PHL-LGW so that I have a legal-sized carry on to make the trip home. Gotta have some place to keep my MP3, Bose headphones, journal, & magazines -- I like to travel light, but not naked.
