Sex appeal

I think this just goes to show that sexism is still alive and well in this country. Women are held to a different standard than men are. Society does not allow women to age with dignity. They are expected to always be attractive (at least in the public eye). I have not looked at all women in US politics but just from casual observation I think I see far more unattractive males than females. Granted it is a percentage thing since there are far more males in politics than females but still.

I cannot help but wonder if Wallce would have asked Obama or Bush if he was a flake? I some how doubt it. There are actually substantive issues on which you can take any politician to task on. Their appearance is not one of them. Having said that, we do seem to be a very superficial country. We, as a nation seem to much more concerned with appearance than we are with content. As a result we have the government that we deserve.

So can they ask her "thong or granny" for her underwear style? Like they did Clinton?

Good one. I forgot about that one. Seems to have a different implication though. One is a fashion question the other implies a lack of intelligence or being flighty. Similar but different IMO.

Speaking of other things that she should be held accountable for.

God bless her!

What everyone isn't seeing here is that she's "Likeable". Here in Minnesota I think it safe to say most don't share her world vision. Having been in the same room with her she has that Reagan like, "Likeability".

Sex Appeal? Well she's quite attractive I will say that, She's a nice lady who makes no bones about her views, Love her or hate her she is who she is. IMO a true feminist if there ever was such a thing.

She may be likeable (by the TP and extreme right) but I doubt she is electable because the fringe candidates rarely are. Right now it looks like Romney will be the flag bearer. If/when Perry steps in I think he will take the top spot from Romney. I think Perry could be slimy enough to pull it off and win the election. No one seems to care that he put TX $27 billion in the whole and just executed a man against a treaty that the the US is a signatory to and every one including Bush Jr. asked him not to execute the man. He is such an arrogant SOB.

That Lou Engle is as bat s#@t crazy as Rev Wright. I wonder if that association will hurt her. Probably not because religious right agree with his hatred. OH well. The centrist voters will probably not like him too much.

I would not mention Bachman and Reagan in the same paragraph. One of the things that made him likely is that he did not come across as holier-than-thou, she does.

I will wager dollars to donuts that Mitt Romney is NOT the Republican Candidate.

Behold the pale rider! He/She has yet to be revealed. Whomever it may be, it's my opinion that the victor will win by a landslide. The open question is will it be the side of big gooberment? Or the side of individual freedom and liberty

Perry is the only other one on the horizon. Who ever else wants in better get off the stick. These days it's all about money and everyone else already has a huge lead in that regard. I agree the Romney won't make the cut. He is way too centrist for the republicans right and the religious right will have a cow over the fact that he is not one of them but one of 'them". Next in line would be Bachmann (by poll numbers) and we all know she is a non-starter. Perry? He sucks as a governor and would be a worse president IMO.

Maybe the RNC should take out a help wanted add?

You would do yourself a service if you looked at where Bill Clinton was in the polls this many months out.

Who said I had to participate? Melting? Hardly, laughing my butt off is a more accurate description. I am pretty sure that will be of interest to the main stream voters. She is great for the TP's and religious right. She is a no-go for the center where elections are won. But by all means don't let that stop you from putting her on the ticket in 2012. I am sure the Dems will send you a thank you card.
