Not Surprising: Charges Against 'New Black Panthers' Dropped by Obama Justice Dept.

The charges stemmed from a much publicized incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.

I guess they needed them for the 2010 elections, census count, etc.,
Now thats some hope and change for ya!

More........

Imagine if Ku Klux Klan members had stood menacingly in military uniforms, with nightsticks, in front of a polling place. Add to it that they had hurled racial threats and insults at voters who tried to enter.

The flip side of this scenario is occurring right now. The culprits weren't Klansmen; they belonged to the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. One of the defendants, Jerry Jackson, is an elected member of Philadelphia's 14th Ward Democratic Committee and was a credentialed poll watcher for Barack Obama and the Democratic Party when the violations occurred. Rather conveniently, the Obama administration has asked that the cases against Mr. Jackson, two other defendants and the party be dropped.

Unlike the Florida incident, this case involving the New Black Panthers screams out for tough justice. Instead, the Obama administration looks the other way. This all but invites racial violence at future elections.

RUH RO! :mf_boff:

:cop: Guess who was endorsing who back in 2008? :cop:

In March 2008, the New Black Panther Party endorsed Barack Obama for president. The Obama campaign allowed the New Black Panthers to post its endorsement on his Web site.

This caused conservatives to howl because once again, so the Obama campaign pulled the endorsement ad.

Obama was aligned with black racists, like his preacher and mentor of 20 years, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, whose sermon, “The Audacity of Hope,â€￾ inspired Obama’s memoir, “The Audacity of Hope.â€￾

Wondering how those White Firefighters suit is doing !!!

I wonder who the Knights of the KKK endorsed in 2008 , down "your way" ???

Obama Endorsed... by the KKK!
Wednesday February 20, 2008

Yes, you read that right. According to a widely forwarded "news story," U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama, whose father was black, has been endorsed by the notorious white supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan. "Anything is better than Hillary Clinton," KKK Imperial Wizard Ronald Edwards was quoted as saying. In other news, pigs can fly.

The New Black Panther case was the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law I saw in my Justice Department career.

Based on my firsthand experiences, I believe the dismissal of the Black Panther case was motivated by a lawless hostility toward equal enforcement of the law. Others still within the department share my assessment. The department abetted wrongdoers and abandoned law-abiding citizens victimized by the New Black Panthers. The dismissal raises serious questions about the department’s enforcement neutrality in upcoming midterm elections and the subsequent 2012 presidential election.

Some of my co-workers argued that the law should not be used against black wrongdoers because of the long history of slavery and segregation. Less charitable individuals called it “payback time.” Incredibly, after the case was dismissed, instructions were given that no more cases against racial minorities like the Black Panther case would be brought by the Voting Section.

J. Christian Adams is a lawyer based in Virginia who served as a voting rights attorney at the Justice Department until this month.
