Don't presently have the link, But Alaska hooked-up with Icelandic to protect its European pax out of SEA.
Something about being wary of Del-DUH pulling out of a codeshare or something like that.

(MORE unexpected problems for Del-DUH in SEA)  ?

In your mind probably. Hell Delta is expanding like wild fire in SEA and LAX and in your mind they are getting smaller.

Of course you also can't be a grown up and say Delta so its not overly surprising you don't understand anything about Delta.

Well I know 'these' things about Del-DUH.

They play second fiddle to AA and UA as far as US Legacy carriers go.
They made LESS  $$$  in Q2  than AA/UA,...........and it's highly likely that scenario will play out in Q3.

With the 'stolen' 747's almost gone, DL has the SMALLEST....' T R U E......Jumbo Jet fleet '  (sorry, not counting the 34 A-330's that were stolen from NW )

AND,
Before you take a coronary as you'll ' Tub Thump ' about the 90  76's in the fleet, let me remind you that the 767 is not in the truest sense a JUMBO JET, like AA's  '64'   Triple 7's AND the 787's which are already on AA's property !
Del-DUH fools a lot of people with 'smoke and mirrors' !!!
In reality Del-DUH is a primarily -   'east of the Mississippi/ North-South Legacy' (So Unlike AA / and  UA ).

Got to hand it to Del-DUH though, with thier  GRANDSTANDING Move to put a crummy '757' from RDU to CDG.
THAT would'nt have anything to do with the FACT that  AA leaves RDU Daily, with a '777' to Heathrow, now would it  ???????

How do you "play second fiddle when you are larger than one of those carriers?

Ah so you make things up, can't spell and now we figure out you also cant count.
Delta made 1.6B in Q2 (ex specials) UA made 1.3B in Q2 (ex specials)
since in painfully clear you don't know, 6 is bigger than 3.

First, you do realize that AA and UA both have a sizable fleet of 757s that fly to Europe right?
Second it is also painfully clear that not only do you not know how to spell, do math, know anything about the airline business but now you are making it clear that you don't know anything about route planning either.

Okay its very clear that you aren't very bright, that is okay. Having said that you need to stop making sh*t up and posting it. SJC, SAT, IAH, PHL, and SAN are not even in the top 10 cities to LAX. (much less the amazingly stupid idea that they are the largest cities in the US)

Of the top 10 markets to LAX, Delta flies to all but two of them.(CHI/DEN) American flies to all but one of them. (SEA)

Again, painfully clear you don't have any idea what you are talking about and you are really making yourself look like a fool.

First, my bad.  Del-DUH is " NUMBER TWO "    as far as  $$$$$$$$$$$$  goes.  And perhaps your correct that Del-DUH is 'bigger' than UA.   OK, I've got it.

The top ten cities LARGEST cities in the usa  ARE the the ones I listed. (Go argue with google)  Largest cities = where the most people (think PASSENGERS) live.    P = P = P.  People equal passengers, equals profits by flying those souls, to and from LAX. duh.

Subtracting  AA's  330's (from US Air) and  Del-DUH's  330's (from NW) (the NW  747's are all but gone) Del-DUH is lacking in a  " TRUE " JUMBO Jet fleet.  ( your 767's  vs  AA's 777's and 787's).  Again, argue with google  a/c fleet info.

Do you really? Comprehension does not seem to be your strong suit

TO LAX
I have posted the top ten cities to LAX many times, but ill do so again for you.

SFO
JFK
ORD
LAS
DFW
HNL
SEA
DEN
ATL
PHX.
Delta flies to all but DEN and ORD
American flies to all but SEA

Look at BTS data if you need to. Its all there.

and Largest cities in the US (or world) doesn't = O/D.

Delta has 777s. (and A350s, 787s and 339s on order)

but that is the dumbest things I have heard. Till this year AA and DL had the same exact size 763ER fleet. And you can't just "take out" the 330. Delta happens to be the largest 330 operator in the US and second in the world.

Your logic is amazingly stupid.

dawg,
you are doing a great job of trying to educate the Bear... it ain't an easy job and I commend you for your efforts.

However, based on DOT O&D data - based on where passengers end and begin their trips and not just the segments they fly - the 10 largest O&D markets from LAX are: Jfk, Sfo, Ord, Sea, Las, Hnl, Ewr, Den, Bos, and ATL

However, the part that will send the Bears over the edge is the fact that of the big 3, AA actually carries THE LEAST amount of passengers from LAX to the top 10 markets from LAX.

Here are the numbers:

UA 4208
DL 3138
AA 2967

Once again, actual data shows that AA isn't near as big of a presence in LAX as Bears and a whole lot of other people think.

It is worth noting that this is based on data for the year ending March 2015. AA started ATL-LAX after that date and UA is ending JFK - to which they carried nearly 600 passengers/day from LAX. DL is also increasing capacity on LAX-SFO. Considering that DL is increasing its capacity in the JFK-LAX market and is picking up share from UA in a number of markets from LAX, the chances are quite high that DL could move even further up the list while UA moves down.

Despite Bear's repeated and ignorant statements about DL's presence on the west coast and LAX, DL does a better job of carrying the top local LAX market than AA does.

I was referring to top pax carried markets not O/D but those cities are also correct.
