Now is the time to define what we are. If we are going to be a LCC carrier then let's act like one. We cannot offer "Premium" services at blue light prices. I don't see Ruth Chris Steak House offering an all you can eat buffet on Thurday night. All though Golden Corral does offer "value added" buffets. Both are great places to eat but you pay for "Premium" at Ruth Chris.
We sell customers expections that we sometimes cannot deliver. Then we look bad. How many calls does reservations get from someone who cannot get seat assignments? How many times do they call back to try after speaking to at least six people who cannot help them and then to speak with a supervisor. Does this not add to distribution costs. We have "processed" this reservation to death.
We offer another "Premium" product we call "First Class" but we give most of them away. Why not do what we did in LAS markets and offer non-refundable First Class fare that is not much more than coach.
Will our mangers become leaders to help define us and our product? We have a choice, we can become a phoenix from out of the ashes or we can be a question on Jeparody. Alex I will take the $100 airline history question. What was defunct airline with large presence in the Northeast? Good luck to all
