Are The Feds Looking Into Usair?

Please don't misunderstand me. I'm in no way supporting Bronner being the BOD Chairman or saying that he was wise to invest in UAIR. Just I think he saw a way to make a quick buck ... he's not here to run UAIR for the long term. TPG would have had a different outlook I'm sure. I also still think Bronner is running the show and letting Siegel take all the negative press and heat from labor. I could be wrong, but that's just my hunch.

However, there is analyst and industry observer concern that the faster than anticipated yield deterioration has the ATSB on edge and this will have a negative impact on United's efforts to obtain guaranteed funds that could be provided by J.P. Morgan and Citigroup.

Really.....and who is this "analyst and industry observer?" Could it be....ummmm, YOU?

TPG is a smart bunch. They certainly didn't get outbid. A group like that never opens with its best offer. They obviously didn't like what they saw once they got inside, and simply moved out of the way.

Is that the same group of people who fed Woerth the information that UAL would not hit it's DIP numbers?

Probably. They are the same folks who say our "system" CASM is 10.98 cents when it isn't (that's the mainline only number).

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!!

I would have looked at Dave and crew and gone the other way too.

Too bad we ended up with Bronner.

They probably realized that Dave was in WAY over his head.

Wonder if and when Dr. Bronner gets tired of playing airline if there might be a chance for TPG to come back and try to take care of whats leftover? They should be able to get it for a very good price. :p

I recall discussing AWA's ATSB requirements in another thread and my research agrees with 700UW.

That said, Chip, when are you going to stop "reporting" the blatently false information your sources give you. Fine, somebody else said it... You repeated it without any independent research, despite the fact that your sources are repeatedly incorrect as proven on this board.

If your flight release from a particular dispatcher was consistently wrong, you would double check it and make changes, right? So why don't you do that here? You certainly seem to have enough time based on how much you post.

You see Chip, the more you post blatently false information, regardless of the source, your credibility on this board suffers. Therefore, if you come upon any good info, nobody will believe you. You continually cry wolf, in a manner of speaking.

Its nothing personal, but you come on this board and profess to know the "truth", yet your souces are continuously wrong. In fact, I don't think your sources got one thing right. I'll note that I did not hear about the PIT leasing situation from you first, even though you claim to have the inside scoop.

If everybody did fact checking, there would be about 10 posts on this board.
