Amt patches

does anyone really care what patch is there? It can be a placard or inop sticker circled by a roll of duct tape.

Your vest is going to cover it anyway.

Don't we have more important things to worry about? Who's idea was it for us to get involved with this foolish crap? Association or the Company?

 It's on the shoulder!

A change in working conditions is required to be negotiated under labor law. Changing uniforms would be considered a change in working conditions. Just the patch, maybe not so much...however...

It is also in your CBA (I am making an assumption here since I don't have a copy handy, it is in every airline CBA that I have seen)

If the company had done it without consulting the union, many here would be screaming "why didn't they ask us"?

I agree with xUT on his take on it.

Is this what our careers and future are about a stupid patch on a new uniform?

This is the type of crap the Association put out for us to decide on? Not what is really needed in our JCBA. Is this what we are thought of let them vote or pick a patch. Comon guys seriously.

Our financial futures is at hand, money, Holidays, vacation, medical, these are what they should be asking for our input on don't you think? What about the prefunding and stock the TWU held from us in the equity. Not that type of stuff is important.

Patches and shirt colors if these are important to the membership then our Class and craft is DOOMED.  JMHO......

I agree that this should have been put on the back burner until more pressing issues are handled. You have some inept people on both sides in that they would actually put this out during this time. They could use a lesson in public relations.

You are 100% correct AMFA is NOT coming to AA. The TWU loyalist have won that battle.

But that way of thinking,  just give them a shot, is the typical TWU way of thinking. We'll getem next time and all the other bs lines that have come from the TWU members.

I for one don't have alot of yrs left with AA, but for those who do,  they are going to get a big pay check which most are looking for, but give up much more. The fact that patches and uniform colors are the topic of this forum represents the strength and resolve of the TWU members.

Getting the company to wash the grease/oil from from your uniforms because you did your job rather than expose your family to the toxins. What about the environmental effects on the waste water from your home. These are more important than patch and uniform colors.

Do the Pilots have a patch? What about the Stews? "NO" is the answer, the color and design says enough. We have grey,  the ramp/stores Blue,  that should be enough to designate us from the crowd.

Per OSHA and the GPM we are forced to wear the yellow vests out on the line so why do we need a patch on our uniforms at all? Do you need to tell the passengers your a mechanic?
The $$ they paid to get on board is all they care about.

The company issued crew chief pins/wings along with inspector pins/wings how many still or even wear those?

Waving the company pom poms and hoping for the best is all the TWU employees have done since the beginning of time, How has that benefited us in the past?

Jorge Rojas is the paper hanger for the Local,  Having "NO" Control over our CBA is/has been the problem.

Heros we'll see how each does as they both will be LQQKing for your vote in the upcoming Local officers election as they run off against one another for the Top Job.

As Leaders they should of told the company/association we have more pressing issues than to worry about patches for the new uniforms.

A change in uniforms doesnt require negotiations with the union, your really stretching it.

Nothing goes up on that website without our saviors knowing about it and giving the nod of approval. So, you cant pin it on Rojas.

I agree but it appears that negotiations are on the back burner over patches and new uniforms as far as priorities goes.

all Ugly what a joke.
Most of them made me think that they were designed by a former Soviet patch designer.  Probably because they're too gray.

What's wrong with these?

Either of them could be updated with Horton's new "Greyhound" bus logo instead of the iconic "AA."

Inept or intentionally trying to condition opinion and/or distract from the other issues of the day?
