AMR Stock is up, up, up!

Nope. Sorry to disappoint - yet another conspiracy theory without any factual basis.

Stock is down so far this morning to $27.65, a 4.33% decline on the day.

Oil prices up again....all airline stocks are down today but AMR down the most.

I understand that management's shares can be exercised at the beginning of April and not April 17? Any truth to that? Saw it on CNN.

There are no shares to exercise. It is a cash payout based upon the share price on the day of the April Board meeting - 4/19/06.

So basically management will be paid whatever the stock price is at the end of the day on April 19? What happens if everyone (hypothetically) at AA who has shares exercises it at the same time? Will the administrator(?) limit the amount of shares exercised on that day?

I doubt that there would be any limitations, other than that already put in place by the SEC. Any coordinated attempt to manipulate the stock price would probably be met with litigation.
