That article was REAL? It seemed more like something out of a MAD magazine. The twu and AA screwed up the TWA buy out. Think of the fun they could have with UAL!

AA has better labor relations? They should print a warning to wear diapers before reading that tripe so a person doesn't spoil his/her clothes when they urinate while laughing. By better labor relations do they mean only in the twu? After all the f/as and pilots ELECTED new officers at their unions after the concession scam while we at the twu are unable to do the same.

10 billion in debt whould be a new weight around AA's neck. More management too.

The only possible positive thing out of this farce of an article, if it ever became a reality, is that at least AA AMTs would have more AMFA members. But then again, maybe the twu would pull a iam scam and allow our overhaul to go away. THAT I hope never happens.

United and AA merger might have been ideal at one time, with the increase low cost competition, I believe the re-organization and the exiting of duplicate routes will bring in more low cost airlines. A vicious cycle.

With the low cost carriers buying A/C at the rate of three to one margin, in the future the high cost carriers will continue with problems and may eventually go by the way of Eastern and Panam. Americans only viable alternative is to be an elite international carrier?
