Wow, ALPO loses again. We hear while visiting the HILL that it'll be a 1-2 billion dollar settlement. The cost to ALPO pilots will be thousands.

Get ready to pay up.

First, congrats on dodging a huge self-imposed bullet. Good to hear ALPA lost the fight....an no, ALPA doesn't have near enough insurance...or property.

Uh, excuse me,,,, ever hear of an insurance company DROPPING a client? happens quite often. Insurance company would drop this hot potato in an instant. In fact, I would recommend to other ALPA carriers to consider dropping Alpa and changing to another CBA to avoid pending HUGE assessment. Bigger than a freight train and probably the biggest DFR against a union EVER ! Cha Ching !!!!! Open up those wallets boys. Been there. 🙁(

An insurance carrier can drop a client, but it doesn't absolve them of liability for a claim in force at a time they had coverage.

So yes, whatever insurance ALPA had at the time of the DFR event should apply.
