"Also, GJs, a commuter airline headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is planning to hire pilots. To learn more about job requirements and how to apply, click on "Job Openings" under the MEC Fast Links on the pilots
only website."

Gojets is an alter ego carrier to Trans States, since the pilots were unable to come to terms with pay and working conditions.

Find it hard to believe, that the U MEC encourages anyone to work there.

For those that do not know what is going on, here is a website, a bit dated, but it will show the jist:

Is this a Joke? Wow, my ALPA dues hard at work for me!!! Jeez, if that is true...... Sad, Just plain said!!!

Using their past as an indicator, I would say they probably have no clue what they are doing. After all the 170 is just a regional jet and wont have any effect on them.

U west pilots take note of this and when you have a chance vote!

Just curious after reading that link.

Why is it OK for the Trans-States Airlines pilots' to take flying away from their mainline counter-parts with RJ flying?

But when another group takes flying from them, it's time to get angry! It's time to call them SCABS.

I'm furloughed from USAirways, TSA pilot's are flying RJ's on the same routes the F100 flew for wages extremely lower....the TSA captains make less then I did as an FO years ago.

Can I consider the TSA pilot's SCABS. Y'all did the same thing to me the Go Jets pilots are doing to you!

Maybe I'm missing something, (and don't say union busting, because regional airline contracts suck period, which is why mainline flying is outsourced...you did it to yourself) isn't this the pot calling the kettle black!

Just something to think about!!!

Last I checked regular pilots had nothing to do with what flying mainline parcels out to the regionals. You're blaming the wrong entity.

Yeah, well I'm furloughed from TWA and TSA, CHQ, and Eagle are flying the routes I used to fly in DC9s, 717s, and MD80s. But I know better than to blame the pilots. These were management decisions at MAINLINE. I truly don't understand how you can blame those guys for your misfortune.

GoJets is evil because those pilots should be on the same seniority list and CBA as TSA. Not too long ago ALPA advised pilots not to work for Freedom Airlines, the Mesa alter-ego airline. Why they haven't done the same for GJ I can't fathom because it's the same scenario. Of course I'm a member of a class-action lawsuit against ALPA (despite my current membership) so my opinion of ALPA National and DW isn't very high.

Nah, I'm not missing a thing, since that's the reaction I was expecting!!!

I'm not blaming any of the TSA pilots' for my furlough...(or any other group of pilots at the regionals)

I'm semi-bright enough to figure out my outcome was caused by miss-management!

Point being, ALPA National only cares about the dues collected from any regional airline pilot.

After that, ALPA National could give a rats a$$ about them or me for that matter!

The only strength is at the local level....and I don't see a whole lot of that at the regionals....it's pretty much gone at the majors too...

There is NO Solidarity with ALPA from airline to airline.

Talk about Mesa and Freedom, but what about DAL and Comair during the Comair Strike???

DAL ALPA acted like nothing was going on! Sounds like typical ALPA Solidarity to me!

The GJ thing seems more like a way to navigate around a scope clause more than union busting.

I may look at differently than many, but there is always going to be some kid from Riddle or Purdue (not picking on those schools, don't want to offend) who will work for free, after paying $20K for his training, just to sit in the right seat of one of those shiny new jets. And the bigger the jet the better.....something to do with the size and envy.

Airline management has figured this out, hell Johnny O of Mesa banks on it!

So I ask again,

If the management of major outsources my job to a regional pilot....

and then the management of that regional outsources the regional pilots job to a lower payed regional pilot...

It's OK for the first regional pilot to call the second regional pilot a SCAB!

ALPA solidarity is/has been a joke here and probably not change one bit in the future here-----pilot group here is just too fractionized North/South and now East/West. I sure hate to say it but the only group I've heard of thats tight is the MIGHTY KLINGON WARRIORS--ooops---I mean pure American pilots.--BTW----Are they the only airline pilot group with a pension still in place ? That means that they are lots smarter than the ALPA groups correct ?

Either that, or it means their employer still has not gone through the Chapter 11 process.

Yet.
