Sure has been quiet here the last couple of days. Guess everyone is waiting for news.
Anyway, here's todays ALPA code-a-phone message:
This is Jack Stephan with a US Airways MEC update for Thursday, August 26th, with two new items.
Item 1. The MEC reconvened its special MEC meeting today at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, VA. After deliberating and receiving further updates from the Negotiating Committee and advisors in both open and closed session, the MEC plans to reconvene tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. to continue discussions on the state of Transformation Plan Negotiations.
All US Airways pilots are encouraged to attend the meeting at the [Hotel Name26]. Please note that the hotel does not provide transportation from the airport and that portions of the meeting may be in closed session.
Item 2. As a reminder to all active pilots, ALPA's Membership Services Department has informed the MEC that letters will go out shortly to members who are pending bad standing. Note that if you are currently in bad standing, or pending bad standing, you will be unable to cast a vote if a Tentative Agreement is reached and then sent to the pilot group for ratification. Please contact [Contact Info] to resolve your situation.
Please remember we have 1,879 pilots on furlough.
Thank you for listening.
