In AVL the other day talking to gate agent....he said that the PSA station there was changing to PDT and that all the other PSA stations were converting over as well. Maybe it is true that PSA and Piedmont will soon merge!!

this is not true... some are being converted due to labor issues with the CBA at PSA. You can thank the union thugs in PIT for the 6.77 wage. Last offer was to increase the wage to 8.20 or something like that, but the union thugs in PIT didn't like the cap-out, so they strong armed the station to vote against it. All the PSA outstations voted 92% or something like that in FAVOR of the contract, with PIT shooting it down by over 80% against.

good for Piedmont, a non-unionized workforce, to successfully run all these stations and keep a happy workforce in the outstations.

Out of curiosity how will the decide? Will it be those stations that have both customer service and ramp employees except for PIT? PDT handles most the customer service aspects anyway, so it makes sense.

Definitely somthing gong on at PIT Express...just had an open house for their 3rd class of new hires...alot of inside agents moving to ramp agents...wait and see

i dont know if this should be included in this thread but here goes: a colgan pilot told me today that in PIT, he overheard several agents that all EXPRESS GATE AGENTS would have to work the ramp or quit and the mainline agents would handle the express as well as mainline. Could this, if true, be onw way that mgmt might want to get rid of PSA or something else?
