but let's face it... you can't engage in a conversation on the merits of the discussion so you turn it personal.

you can call winning whatever you want but when ANY carrier adds 4000 seats/day into a market where you have been strong, it is going to hurt no matter how badly you want to try to pretend otherwise.

the pain is only deepened by AS' actions which are to add even more seats to try to protect share which further erodes yields.

and if they really pulled something off because of a problem which DL didn't resolve, then good for them - and the agent is probably being high fived all over AS.

AS might be high fiving at the media coverage that something like this is generating but let's see who is whooping and hollering this summer and when the traffic results come out.

one more time... more capacity is being added from SEA on domestic flights between AS and DL as will be added from DAL to domestic markets which couldn't be served a year ago - and DL is adding 55% of that capacity from SEA.

there are people who laugh and play jokes and belittle people if that helps them divert their attention from the real problem.

AS' real problem is 7500 new domestic seats and a +/- 50% increase in capacity by DL.

all the little paid schemes that AS comes up with aren't going to change a thing in terms of DL's capacity growth in SEA.

btw, what do you think AS will put on its Thanksgiving Day prayer on its trays this year?

if you actually read the article  clearly AS found the issue was before the lady left YVR for ONT  and it had a maintaince issue in YVR then a stop in SEA w an overnite stay and that pretty much costed the lady her return trip home   But DL did not tell her that

you do realize that DL does not fly SEA-ONT? That is an AS operated flight that had the DL code on the itinerary.

DL does fly YVR-SEA with Delta Connection.

this was an AS passenger on at least one leg to begin with.

Too much spinning / circling the wagons for DL can be troublesome as it tends to generate double standards.
 
Case in point, World Fraudster is waving his pom poms here about DL superiority of building SEA as an Asian hub.

But at the same time, on another thread, he is claiming that U.S. carriers can grow globally only via asset acquisition.
 

as much as you object, it is very clear that US carrier strength in its global regions has largely been acquired and not homegrown.

the agent didn't do anything by using her own credit card to pay for a flight that was booked on AS anyway.

and further, you're a little late to the conversation anyway.

this is a high stakes war between a SEA airline that is watching its local hub be trashed by new capacity - 45% of which is of its own doing - because it was too stupid to recognize that DL's offer of working together was made in good faith.

and when people make good faith efforts to work with others and then get the door slammed in their faces, sometimes they bite back - and the bite is far worse than they imagined.

but you didn't read beyond the article, did you, robbed? you just found a story on a.net that seemed to trash DL so you jumped on it like everyone else.
