Alaska air stock prices

With all the "major's" stock's going swiftly into the "Shetter"(CO's at $8, while everyone else is way below them), a question.

Though their stock is dropping also, WHY is Alaska's stock price 2 1/2 times MORE than everyone else ?

Is it because THEY are the "only game in town" up there, in an area where air service is the lone link to (so called) civilization ??

For someone who occasionally opines on financial matters, I'm surprised you need to ask.

The per share price is not just a reflection of what Wall Street thinks of a company's finances but also the number of shares outstanding. AS has ~36 million shares outstanding while AA has ~279 million. So despite the disparity in per share value, AA has a higher market cap than AS.
