This e-mail I recieved puts a grim image out there about the leader of America.
I cannot attest to the truthfulness of it, but if only 25% of it is, we really are in trouble.
I welcome any comments and corrections to the letter below. I hope there a many.

George W. Bush Resume
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE LAW ENFORCEMENT: I was arrested in
Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of
alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license
suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is
not available.

MILITARY: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused
to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By
joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in
Vietnam.

COLLEGE: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a
cheerleader.

PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I ran for US Congress and lost. began my career in
the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company,
but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly
after I sold all my stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a
sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money. With the help of my
father and our right-wing friends in the oil industry (including Enron
CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS: I changed Texas pollution laws to
favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in
the Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most
smog-ridden city in America. I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas
treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money. I set the record for
the most executions by any governor in American history. With the help
of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to
the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000
votes.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT: I am the first President in US history to
enter office with a criminal record. I invaded and occupied two
countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week. I
spent the US surplus and effectively bankrupted the US Treasury. I
shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in US history. I set
an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month
period. I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month
period. I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of
the US stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million
Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month. I'm
proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
administration in US history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice,
has a Chevron oil tanker named after her (no longer, she was afraid it
might be a target for attack). I set the record for most campaign
fund-raising trips by a US President. I am the all-time US and world
record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations. My
largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends,
Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in
U.S.History, Enron. My political party used Enron private jets and
corporate attorneys to assure my success with the US Supreme Court
during my election decision. I have protected my friends at Enron and
Halliburton against investigation or prosecution. More time and money
was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent
investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history. I
presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to
intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed. I
presided over the highest gasoline prices in US history. I changed the
US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government
contracts. I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than
any President in US history. I created the Ministry of Homeland
Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States
government. I've broken more international treaties than any President
in US history. I am the first President in US history to have the United
Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission. I withdrew the
US from the World Court of Law. I refused to allow inspectors access to
US "prisoners of war"detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the
Geneva Convention. I am the first President in history to refuse United
Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 US election). I set the
record for fewest number of press conferences of any President since the
advent of television. I set the the all-time record for most days on
vacation in any one-year period. After taking off the entire month of
August, I presided over the worst security failure in US history. I
garnered the most sympathy for the US after the World Trade Center
attacks and less than a year later made the US the most hated country in
the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history. I have set
the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest
me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for
protest against any person in the history of mankind. I am the first
President in US history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and
the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will
of the United Nations, the majority of US citizens, and the world
community. I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support
a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in
war time. In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for
attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends. I am the
first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my
presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security. I am
supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD. I
have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to
justice.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES: All records of my tenure as governor of Texas
are now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view.
All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and bankrupt
companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. All
records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended
regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for
public review.
PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE WHEN VOTING IN 2004. PLEASE SEND THIS TO
EVERY VOTER YOU KNOW

I'm no big GWB supporter, but there are a number of inacurracies in the "resume". If I have time later, I'll note them.

I agree with the article. If I recollect, several of the hijackers were pulled aside for further questioning (by the lowest paid securityagents) at the security check points. Had the alert been higher, they might have been pulled from the flights and even overtaken. Had security been taken as seriously as it is today, 9/11 would never have happened.

Bush's resume will give me nightmares tonite.

The New York Times and other news outlets published stories in mid-2002 that indicated that Norm Mineta (head of DoT FAA) was informed of the possibility of hijackings by muslims who had no interest in flying to Cuba. Mineta acknowleged that he knew of the threats yet withheld the information from airlines anyway. Subsequently, those stories have disappeared (even from the Times' pay-for-archived stories). I searched for them last year without success.

Add to that the fact that weeks before FBI agents had arrested Moussaui (sp?) and even sent memos to their superiors that were ignored.

Mineta, Freeh (FBI) and Ashcroft (as AG, the FBI works for him) and perhaps others should be strung up alongside the terrorists for their monumental failure to alert airlines to change their hijacking protocols.

Enough of the political slander and misinformation.

The President who failed you is Billy Bob Clinton. His administration was notified of the goal of the terrorists to hijack US airliners. Hence, the FBI began investigations. The "critical" August 6th memo mentions that the FBI could not find any credible evidence that the terrorists were proceding towards their goal. Several government decisions prevented the FBI and CIA from doing their job well--all made by the Clinton administration. Foremost among them was the DOJ (led by Reno) decision to forbid intelligence (CIA) from sharing information with law enforcement (FBI and Police). Hence, the well known failure of the numerous agencies to connect the dots. The Clinton administration also chose to pursue the terrorists in the law enforcement arena. Hence, we'd capture the terrorists during/after their crimes and then put them in jail. Many fault the Bush administration for not changing the policies during it's first nine months in office. Many would point out this as unrealistic. Administrations maintain policies and holdover personnel (Tenet, Clark, Garvey (FAA) among others) while changing their courses over time.

I understand airline workers are a blue collar group and the Democrats tend to give more support during negotions. No arguments. But saying 9/11 happened because of Bush shows a one sided political mind. To say Democrats will support workers negotiations--here, here. To say Clinton, Kerry are better for our national security--please move to another country along with Fonda, Baldwin, Sarandon, and others.

Another blabber thread. US Aviation should create a special board for you people. You can opine on the various reasons why someone didn't do something. And why others did something else. And why you would have done better. Some call it insight....I tend to call it Monday Morning Quarterbacking.

It will be a nice addition to our culture of blame. Blah. Blah. Blah.

If Bush is incapable of making changes, as stated by BWIpilot, then why was he so quickly able to make changes to the abortion laws? I love how the Bush supporters continue to blame the former administration for all the country's woes. Does this mean that when Kerry wins this election, and (God forbid) more horrible acts happen, we can blame Bush? <_<

BWIPilot: Nice typical republican response. Do they laminate these talking points for your wallet? Is this one still included or was it erased: "No one could have imagined them taking a plane, slamming it into the Pentagon" - Condi Rice.

Duck: You're right - i got into it with someone else a few months ago and it was a waste of time.

I'll say this - there's enough blame to go around within both administrations. But to solely blame Clinton is just plain wrong.

There is continuing to be much evidence that Bush and his administration did not respond to multiple warnings. History will tell what % of blame rests on Clinton and Bush.

To me - failure to prevent 9.11 is just one of over 100 reasons why I strongly dislike Bush and his administration and will get up extra early in November to vote against him.

I just love it when Repubs and Dems get going on something like this. It usually ends up being such a constructive argument.

"All Republicans are doo-doo-heads!"

"Oh yeah, well, all Democrats are poo-poo-heads!"

"Oh yeah, well, Bush is a poopy-face!"

"Oh yeah, well, Clinton is a ninny-poo!"

George Washington commonly railed against the two-party system. Smart man.

100 reasons? Wow. That is a lot. I call that complex political thinking.

"Hi. My name is John F. Kerry (or JFK as I like to call myself) and I would like your vote this November as I
run for the office of President of theUnited States. Let me tell you a little about myself and why I should be
your next president. I gained a vast amount of military experience when I served bravely in Vietnam. When I came home after my tour, I went to the White House, called my fellow troops baby killers, then threw the medals awarded to me over the White House fence and took pictures with Hanoi Jane. Then I married Ms. Heinz and claimed her $500 million fortune as my own. Then I got elected into the Senate with my good buddy Ted Kennedy and together we have the most liberal voting record in the Senate. Not only will I slash the defense and CIA budget (which, I might add, I voted for many times), I will raise the taxes on gas (which I voted for a few years ago[to raise it $0.50 per gallon]), raise income taxes for the "evil wealthy", try to set up a government run health care system (like the one in Canada, which works great), and pander to the U.N. And along with my other buddy Tom Daschle, and his wife, I will lobby against UAL getting the ATSB loan. But wait, I'm not done yet...How's about a worthless party platform, fighting to keep baby-killing (abortion) legal, and, oh, did I mention, raise taxes. You see, since Bush stole the office from AlGore, this country has gone downhill. Hell, I've seen people fleeing to Canada and Mexico for God's sake. I intend to turn America back into the giving-China-secrets-bowing-down-to-the-U.N.-high-tax- on-everybody-Canada-wanna-be-oral-sex-loving-nation. Thanks and I appreciate your vote...Is this the
US Aviation site...oh man, I thought I was sending this to Rush Limbaugh...sorry."

Geez......I knew I wouldn't like you the second I saw your name. Then you proved it. BTW, do you want all the babies we're aborting (murdering  )? Didn't think so. ummmm, one more thing......you just gave all the other "undecided" voters a reason to vote for Kerry (cuz he won't approve the ATSB loan) DUH! B)

Now that's not nice to say...you don't even know me. Typical liberal thinking...I'm sure I put you on the SL many times. Have a nice day...
