Do you think that RSA,GE, the US Goverment (taxpayers) and all the rest of the major stockholders of USAirways know what is at risk if Dave farms out the Airbus work? Do you think they know how big a gamble this could be? Will it be worth it?

So far, The 2 "Daves" and the "Glassman" have only rattled their sabers.. It will be interesting to see how far they intend to push this issue.. If by chance they intend to take it to a judge, [and they find one to buy off] ,, The boys better pack a BIG lunch. Cause they will be in for the FIGHT of their life.. This issue has done more to bring the mechanics of U together than any reason that I can remember.. This is NOT the same group that was divided and conqured during the SECOND bankrupcy contract ammendment vote...This will be a fight for All the marbles. The AMT's realize if the company gets away with this sleaziness,, Then in just a few short years there will not be any AMT jobs left anyway ... Today I witnessed IAM and AMFA supporters standing together as ONE discussing this issue...BTW,, It was also brought out today that the IAM is in discussions with another major union on the property.. They realize if the company gets away with this foolishness, It will be just a matter of time before "the boys" come knocking on THEIR doors.. There is only ONE thing you can count on with this management group.. [What they manage to get from the workers will NEVER be enough.....] If the Airbus outsourcing was so important,, Then why wasn't it addressed when we were in bankrurcy ??? I hope management decides to leave well enough alone....

Great post INSP89, people need to realize this is not an union vs union battle but a battle for our work, we can't let these robber barons get rich of our backs.

I would have to agree with the above posts. Although I do disagree on which union I feel would best represent my class a U , "labor Friendly Dave & Co" have rallied all employee groups against one common enemy...yes I mean enemy...Dave & Co! I think all the groups are beginning to realize no one will be spared. If Dave had his way there would be 34 or so VP's running the airline with everything else contracted out whether it be Maint, Res, Cust Svc, ect, ect. Heck, I am even wearing my IAM No Farm-out button!!!

I do believe it is PAST time for LABOR to STAND UP on this property.. This [mis] -management team has gotten away with too many concessions ALREADY.............[ Thanks to the bankrupcy court.] The "Daves" @ the Glassman are going for the juglar vein.... It's time to stand up and say,,, ENOUGH is ENOUGH !!!!!!
