Airbus Arbitration - Any Word ?

This is just like the IAM. Tell everyone the decision will be out on the 28th and then nothing. If the arbitrator did not put anything out then the IAM should put that out. This is why AMFA is a threat to them. The IAM is their own worst enemy. What are they going to do when they have to get a real job?

Watch out, you we be worse off then the mechanic who went up against Chop if you speak evil of the mighty infallible IAM and it’s wonder boys.

Heard Frank S on the radio saying they would fight the up coming pay cuts, sure they will like they fight for “selectiveâ€￾ members they will. Besides, they won’t stop this freight train, not the IAM or AFA or any union…..One thing I can say about Frank that is positive, he keeps his mouth shut and doesn’t run it like diarrhea the way some of his cohorts do.

IAM may have been told to expect something to come out around the 28th, and then reported that info. However, the arbiter may have decided to do a bit more research or writing. Those deadlines are never fixed...So, don't be too quick to jump on IAM for that one.

Actually, if I had a guess, (and it is a guess), I would believe that that information is being supressed.

Then again, if you work for US Airways for any amount of time, everything looks like a conspiracy.

Possibly true. Here is what 700 wrote:

"The arbiter has rendered his decision, that is why he called an executive session to inform the other board members. The other two board members were given his decision a few days ago in a written transcript. So keep trying since you think you know it all.

The decision will be made final on the 28th and released to the union, until then the arbiter and the board members are the only ones to know what was rendered."

We also were told that the Arbitrator would talk to the company and union a few weeks ago about his preliminary decision and then would release his final decision on the 28th. So we should have been told something a few weeks ago of the direction this thing was headed.

ITS THE ARBITER'S SHOW
he is in control and any dates at best are tenative.
the union passes on what they were told at the time....they are anxiously awaiting word as you and i.

I also remember 700 writing to someone, I think it was you, something to the effect:
Let me write it slow since you can not understand, the company cannot file voluntary ch11.
If I were like 700, I would go back and try to find where he wrote that, but I'm not. ;)

The company cannot file voluntary, the ATSB loan prevents it and the company told the IAM it is hopeful in getting the pension relief but with strict guidelines.

As of right now they can't file voluntary unless the ATSB changes the loan guarantee.

You;re welcome PITMTC.

As you know they changed the loan with the ATSB and got permission to file bankruptcy.

I am glad to prove you wrong itrade, thanks for making it easy for me.

I would have figured a lawyer would have done better research.
