At the end of February, AA opened a new cargo facility at another hub: LAX – Los Angeles International Airport. “AA Cargo’s new facility is designed to enhance our customers’ shipping experience by increasing our cargo handing capability at LAX – one of the world’s busiest airport” President Dave Brooks said of this one.

On the other side of the country, American says:
“The new facility represents a significant investment, which not only strengthens our cargo operation in Los Angeles, but also solidifies it as a major airfreight hub to and from Asia-Pacific, Europe and beyond.”

"New" cargo facility? I seem to remember picking up Iberia freight in the "new" cargo building in '99.'Course back then it was NCA cargo or Air China IIRC.

Nice article though,I wasn't aware AA was back in the dedicated freighter business either.
