NEW YORK, April 28 (Reuters) - AMR Corp (AMR.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday that its American Airlines unit will begin charging most domestic passengers $25 to check a second bag next month, as it looks to offset the rising price of fuel.

I wonder what took them so long.
