Neither, but they're near the top.

In pax boarded they usually rank second, behind Southwest.
In number of daily departures, they currently rank third, behind Southwest (14) and Mesa/Freedom operating as America West Express (11). AA has 9 daily departures, which will shortly increase to 10 for the peak winter season.
