AA adds additional jobs at Tulsa maintenance base

A long time ago, someone on here noted that real change won’t happen until it gets “bad enough” for everyone. Right now, that’s simply not the case apparently.

Economically impossible. Every union contract stipulation cost jobs. It's amazing how uninformed union workers are. Unions set working rukes/conditions and picks the winners and losers amongst the workers but they absolutely come at the cost of jobs. And that's okay, but you union folks should understand that is what you are getting not some BS job protecting lie.

You don’t think unions cost jobs, well get ready they are about to.
There is nothing in the current agreements that prevent the outsourcing that the company was trying to negotiate into the deal but still maintain good benefits and certain job protections.

I suspect that if they don’t come to any kind of agreement the company will outsource those positions and maybe more in the future because this group refused to understand they can do it with or without an agreement and most likely causing actual job losses

Says the non-union records clerk. Unions have saved thousands of jobs.

Keep drinking the Koolaid...

Unions haven't saved anything. For every job "saved" the company makes up the difference somewhere. Maybe they cut a non-union job, avoid adding a union position somewhere else, or simply don't replace as quickly when natural attrition takes place thru retirement, death, or resignations.

A logical, well thought out, analysis.

Typical eolesen.
