The three realignment bids mentioned above are a minimum. The Company, at their discretion, can choose to realign manpower and conduct a bid more often, but usually its the standard 3 per year unless a major change takes place in headcount, up or down.
The realignment is conducted by the company. Each employee submits a permanent bid (which they can change at any time) that is kept on file by the company, (and the employee keeps a copy) with a list of shifts and days off in the order of employee preference. At realignment time they go thru them and days off and shift are awarded by classification seniority.
