A 47-year streak of posting consecutive full-year profits aint too shabby. Think of all that has happened in the last 47 years and the fact that throughout until this year SWA went about it's business flying airplanes and making a profit at it! Bravo!

Thanks jim. Yup, still proud of my company, just sad they will have to report a years lost. In hopes for a recovery by next year, and getting back to normal?...

Well, not as bad as expected. Although a huge loss, not as bad as we all thought it would go. Things are getting better, but at a very slow pace for now. Hopefully things can and will get better next year...

I know, so weird huh?
Just saw a one on one with GK and he said for Oct. our cash burn is down to 12 million and he said it will get down to 11 million for 4th Q. He too also said that that is also something they are celebrating even though we are still losing money. He also said to expect a possible loss for the 1st Q of 2021. Having liquidity of almost 16 Billion now.

Kev., I agree with you about celebrating the "not as bad as we thought it would be" mentality, but yes, here we are doing it. It's going to be hard to except the fact that SWA will have their first full year of a loss for 2020.
Hoping for a much better 2021 and of course increasing upwards in ongoing out years.

Now what will we be celebrating after year end reports numbers? Article below puts the industry at 35 Billion in losses. Yea it's gonna suck. So here's saying so long 2020---YOU sucked!!!

This will be the week for airlines reporting final 2020 numbers. Probably won't be good at all. 5 airlines this week, 2 on Tues. and 23 on Thurs. Hope 2021 starts the rebound.

So we close out 2020 with a bang huh? Thank God we are out of 2020. One of the local news medias did say it was "not as bad as expected", gee thanks. 1Q 2021 will still be down but in hopes we crawl out of this hole quickly in 2021.

Now reports of a narrower loss than was expected. The narrower loss was 40-50 cents better than expected, should that not bring stock a bit higher> Maybe the "Redick" crowd could start focusing on LUV stock like they did gamestop and AA,
