VP of Express, Michael Scheeringa, has submitted his resignation in favor of employment at a fractional jet ownership company. Mr. Scheeringa's last day at US Airways in Jan. 30.

VP of Sales, Steve Tracas, has announced his resignation in order to seek "other opportunities." Mr. Tracas' last day at US Airways is Feb. 4.

Wasn't Mikey responsible for the Metro Jet Fiasco? How did he hang on this long one must wonder? He paid a few visits to stations over the past few years, and from what I have heard nobody was impressed by him or his nature.

My question is.....

Did these 2 plus the others get pushed to "resign" or do they know something and abandoning a sinking ship?

Comments, anyone

Jim

One will never know for certian. Even when they are pushed out the door, the Company always has a gentle way of putting it. They always go to pursue other opportunities or something of that nature. If any of them were not performing up to par, let it be known that they were thrown overboard!!!

Bob,

You're right - if this is the oft discussed (at least here) downsizing of management, I would think it would be good. And at least so far I've seen no anouncement of replacements being hired.

So ITRADE, is this good or bad? I'm putting on my life preserver and heading up to the deck now! I think I just heard the slamming shut of some water tight compartments! By the way, great movie choices! Definitely classics!

Any hints on whether there'll be more higher profile Managers leave?

Any hints on whether it'll be: Promotions ... or.... outside talent stepping up to fill the shoes.

If they want to buoy investor cofindence and stock price, just as a short term shot in the arm, I would think - outside the company.

anyone wonder if jerry glass or even steve rader will go out the door too along with say may be siegel????
