Woman Dies on AA Flight due to Faulty Equipment

Anyone hear about this AA flight from Haiti. . . Evidently she became short of breath, and the flight attendant initially ignored her plea. . . Finally they attempted to administer oxygen but the canisters were empty. Then the defibullator malfunctioned. The lady, who was begging for help died. Horrible.
I think AA is in for a huge lawsuit. These companies need to make sure their resuscitation equipment is in working order AND they take people seriouisly when they start exibition symptoms. And that these flight attendants are up to date on basic CPR and rescue techniques. The article says 2 MDs and 2 nurses took over. What were the flight attendants doing? Hiding in the cockpit? :down:

Flight attendants stay current through training yearly and are required to check all safety and medical equipment prior to flight. It's incomprehensible that there could have been so many defects in the equipment and it's really unsual for an F/A to not properly respond to any medical situation.
