Why do we still provide travel cards to the likes of poor management. I understand the lifetime travel bennies for those that have served us well, but still when is enough enough? Why are they afforded Space Positive travel status on mine and yours dime when the served us so poorly? And if the answer is it was part of their "parting gifts" that's bull. If every other vendor, employee, creditor gets screwed out of their contracts when this company goes bankrupt why shouldn't they ex-executives get screwed our of their contracts too?

You think Wolf, Gangwal, Siegel would actually fly on U?

While I think the U workers are the best in the world, I would not blame them for taking an opportunity to vent their frustrations on these former "leaders" of U - and I use that term loosely

How many ex-pilots/mechanics/Flight Attendants/etc. get to keep their benefits upon retiring even though they didn't necessarily do a great job? Every one of them...

It was part of their severance or golden parachute packages ! The second filing though could and should wipe those benefits out. Schofield and some retired ex-VP'S lost some benefits when the first fling took place .

Most of the employee's earned their SA travel privileges by working for the company 25 yrs or more, or if they hit retirement before completing the 25 yrs they must pay a service fee. The above mentioned executives only worked for the company a few years, did not retire and fly SP. I will not go in to what they did for the company......... There is a big difference!!!!!

If something doesn't change soon it won't matter much. Who cares whether they can non-rev? Aren't there bigger issues than this to deal with?

Huh? They don't have to fly with the public swine. They can afford private jets. Besides, they get travel cards because they're more valuable to the company, have contributed more to the company, and deserve it more than some hourly employee. The fact that you're asking the question shows that you're incapable of thinking at an executive level.

Just take whatever Bruce wants to give you as compensation, show up on time, present a pleasant face to the customer, be compliant and cheerful to you managers, and leave the higher level thinking to people that have the intellectual ability to handle running of such a successful company as US Airways.

since when did the five clowns that left get to be the most valuable clowns even though they arent around any longer? it just goes to show you as well as the other airlines how this airline doesnt care or give a darn rats a$$ about the real valuable folks the ones who take the abuse from pax at the gate/tkt cntr and the ramp agents who have to battle evry single weather climate every day of the year and have to change/reroute bags daily due to problems and the baggage agents who have to put up with fussy pax whose bags are damaged or destroyed. this is the group of employees that are the most valuable to the airline not the clowns who ran/run it into the cemetery

I think he was being sarcastic (although he should have added a rolleyes smilie). If he wasn't being sarcastic, then he's no doubt an idiot. :D

Unfortunately these are two different animals......

Wolf, Gangwal and crew :disguise: fly SPACE POSITIVE FIRST CLASS even if there is not a seat available....... the flight will be overbooked and the unlucky REVENUE passenger will get compensation and the next flight. End of discussion. This includes family members.

The employees on the other hand are flying SPACE AVAILABLE COACH. They may pay to upgrade to first class. And these flight benefits can be changed at the whim of the previous group of ^&$*^#*%^#&^%)!

those people earned that benefit.
the former ceo's (with the exception of Scoefield 30+years of service) did not earn it.
