What's the scoop on DAB-ATL flights

Is it going to happen, seasonal only or year round?
Seasonal was announced, although they did not say when the season ends. My best bet would be around Labor day. If Business deems it necessary, I'm sure it could be expanded to Year around, though, what's in Daytona other than NASCAR and Beaches?

Huh? Don't you mean Memorial Day? I thought summer was 'off season' in Fla...
That could be but, we run MYR and SEA a little longer. In fact, MYR was extended this year to Nov. I can't see the sense of starting service in Jan & Feb and ending in May. Also, remember the July 4th NASCAR race B) Summer in Florida has very good traffic for us.... School's out for the Kiddies and it's Family time vs. the Snow Bird mentality. Different strokes for different Golfers... We shall see how this plays out. I'm looking forward to it as I can fly down to the races vs. driving from ATL.

Lots of people now use DAB as an alternative to JAX and the congestion and walk at MCO, from GNV/Ocala areas too.
It's a growing area, GNV with few exceptions is high DL fare country.

With low fares, I think AAI could be a big hit. Using the 717 is appropriate as I think the 737 would be too much capacity at the start. just my thoughts.........

I have to agree with you Cool as it seems we beat B6 & WN on this one.... now watch DL slam capacity to this route...

don't be surprised if us starts their own service from clt using the e-190's

It's off season for south Florida...Daytona is a bit too far north for much beach activity during the winter months, although when I was growing up in Florida, it was easy to spot the northerners...they were the only ones going in the water in the winter. Daytona is Spring Break, NASCAR and summer beaches.
