Washington Is Spending $60 Billion...But Not a Single Green Job Yet Exists!

Newsweek magazine had yesterday a web exclusive entitled "What Green Jobs?"

Subtitled: "Washington is spending $60 billion to create the careers of the future, but not a single green job yet exists. Obama's 'green czar' explains."

The Leftist publication deserves some plaudits for exploring this $60 billion gaping hole in the $787 billion "stimulus" package President Barack Obama signed into law in February. But there are many points in the article where they could have done better.

It would have been nice, for instance, if Newsweek had exhibited some of the scrutiny they show here in advance of the massive plan's passage. They begin with an interesting realization:

President Obama devoted nearly $60 billion of his stimulus package to building a new green-based economy rich in renewable energy and strategies to cut carbon. But despite the price tag, not one green job yet exists. It comes down to a problem of etymology. No one can yet agree on what a green job actually is.

Good thing we allocated $60 billion to allegedly create a numbers of something no one can define.

And yet some trust them so much to handle our health care system?

Seems like our Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones past has caught up with him. Question is with the extreme vetting process that happen when Obama took office, how did this whack job extremest get thru?

Who is Van Jones?

A Racist
An Extremist
A Truther

Jones was even captured on tape calling all Republican's a**holes, which while not politically correct, is at times true of both parties.

Some of Greens greatest hits include:

* One day after the 9/11 attacks, President Obama's "green jobs czar" led a vigil that expressed solidarity with Arab and Muslim Americans as well as what he called the victims of "U.S. imperialism" around the world.

* "There is a green wave coming, with renewable energy, organic agriculture, cleaner production," Jones said. "Our question is: Will the green wave lift all boats? That's the moral challenge to the people who are the architects of this new, ecologically sound economy. Will we have eco-equity, or will we have eco-apartheid? Right now we have eco-apartheid."

* The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color communities because they don’t have a racial justice frame.â€

* … there’s a problem .. left to itself this new third wave of environmentalism could become eco-apartheid … the ecological ‘haves’ could just get more and the ecological ‘have nots’ could just get less and less

And so Van Jones throws in the towel and resigns. Good riddence!

Time to look at the rest of the czars and send them packing!

Talk about a can of worms!

Don't think for one second, that someone like him will not continue to lurk in Nobama's circle of radical friends though !
