I read an article today by Lindsey Tanner -an AP Medical Writer that stated: "90,000 Americans get potentially deadly infections each year from a drug-resistant staph infections "superbug". The overall incidence rate was about 32 invasive infections per 100,000 people. That's an "astounding" figure said an article in Wednesday's Journal of American Medical Association.
That scares me. When I remove my shoes to walk through airport security I am walking in the same footsteps as Ten's of 1000s of other feet from all over the world. What is my health risk?
I have attached the article that got me to thinking about this issue for those who have not seen it.
How are airports and airlines workin gto prevent the spread of infections?

I never remove my shoes when I go thru security, I tell them I'm going to set it off because of a metal hip, then I walk thru, set the detector off and I'm sent on for more checking, but my shoes stay on till I'm sitting down and they x-ray them.
