Former Airline Worker Charged In Bank Robbery
CHICAGO (AP) ―
A former Southwest Airlines employee who allegedly robbed a south suburban bank two weeks ago while wearing his airline sweatshirt and safety vest has been arrested and charged with the robbery.

"The employees also said Southwest does not require the return of uniforms when employees leave their jobs."

I wonder why not. Not that many people would wear them while robbing a bank, but isn't there a security question here?

That's not unusual at all - I've got my PI and US uniform hanging in the closet (except I did give my US hat/emblem to a friend's son after I retired). Even the uniform from the small carrier that I first worked at. The theory is that it's not the uniform that gets you into the sterile area but rather the ID, which is required to be turned in.

Just leave them in the closet the nest time you stick a bank or a 7-11. :)
