Website and Res System Down

If all of those disparate systems are unavailable, my guess is it's a network problem, which may or may not be within US's control.

Just got a text from someone non-reving. QIK is back up.

I am in Tempe and I have power as well, but the phrase I heard was "large" brown out. It could have been a city block for all I know.

Perhaps the IT guy that was suppose to be watching things had to go to the bathroom. Hence the "large brown out".

Apparently, OCC in Pittsburgh took a direct hit from lightning earlier this evening and knocked everything out....uh oh!!!!

That was the first rumor...also heard someone wiped out a light pole in PHX near the data center, killed the power.

Is IT located in Tempe? If so, you would think they would have standby power to take over for a power failure...

IT is technically located in Phoenix not Tempe, but it is all one endless parade of dust, tract homes, and pavement out here, so all the cities and suburbs tend to run together and look the same.

I have no idea about back up generators.

Perhaps its just another way Tempe is thinking of to generate revenue....doesn't it cost "extra " to speak with an agent with regards to booking a flight?
