Who knows what will happen to this airline. So much negative info on this board!

We should give 100% and make the airline the best that it can be. If you're not proud
or happy to have this job then start looking for a new one. Forget about rumors and
what may or may not happen. Serve our passengers the best that you can. If everyone
treats our customers with respect we will earn a better reputation. We should also
treat our fellow employees with the upmost respect. Do this and our chances of survival
will be improved. This is a tough business and we need to work hard and learn to enjoy
our work and the fact that we still have a job.

You are a newbie, so I will give you a little grace. However, If you have ever read many of the threads on here you will see that most of the posters AREN'T all negative. Some continually give positive feedback. That said. Here's my two cents.

We, the employee's aren't the problem. Management is. Merger or not... DP isn't doing LCC any favors running it. The employee's as I have said many times make this company. We.... Not Management... Bring em back..(Passengers). The bickering on both sides of the country is inevidable. It is managements responsiblity to work through the problems of the merger and reach the so called "Synergey" DP wants so badly.

Your thoughts are great in theory....

Just my opinion...

IMHO, one of the best posts on this board in some time. Hopefully someone in the SandCastle will read it, learn it, live it, as that's what the street has been preaching here for a long long time.

Proud2beUS,

I agree with you. The employee negativity serves no useful purpose and for those who are so negative I believe they should resign from employment and move on to something else. Life is too short.

Regards,

USA320Pilot

Well if you don't like it, and you can't change it, then quit. Go find your passion and live happily ever after, and if you fail, you won't have Management to blame.

Well said.

And I like your handle. You SHOULD be proud to be US. I wish all employees had such a positive attitude.

Amen. As one who was away from US for several years working in the real 9-5, living for Friday, dreading Monday, seeing the same faces, supervisor breathing over my shoulder working world, it really is in our best interests for this management to succeed. I don't like a lot of things they've done, but I dislike the real working world more. It's obvious that things aren't perfect here, but they aren't perfect anywhere else either. I understand other airline employees who come on here wanting our management to fail; They have a vested interest in our demise. Former, disgruntled FF members who haven't already done so, will just go out and re-establish their membership with another airline. But for those of us who work here, who have poured our heart and soul and sweat and many years into this company, what do we stand to gain? While I was away I learned that there was life after US Airways and I survived, but I also realized that life was not the same for me, and that starting over can be a very daunting, humbling and frightful experience. I did it. And I'm stronger for having done so. But I'm glad that's in my past. And I hope for US Airways to be a big part of my future. For us employees here, you should be hoping for the same.

I agree with you. This is a very intricate industry and everyone seems to think everything is black and white. It is anything but. If you all knew what it takes to get an aircraft off the ground, you'd be amazed. And everyone blames management. Hello....do you still have a job and get a paycheck in this economy? If you do...good for you. Lots of people don't.

If our employees would just be nice to each other and have a little empathy for their fellow co-workers, we might transfer a little of that sentiment to our customers...the ones who keep bringing in the revenue!!!

Terrific post! You are spot on! If any naysayers come back at you for your post, just remember.........illegitimi non carborundum

Yo, Harsh words coming from a "retiree". Who are you to tell me to "QUIT". You obviously coudn't take it and left. I am the one that has withstood all of the mergers U has done since the mid eighties. You drank way too much KOOLAID when you worked for HP. Your so called love affair with HP has diluted your idea of what a great airline is. You must have forgotten the likes of Pan Am, Eastern, Braniff, TWA, Ozark, Peoples Express, New Yourk Air... just to mention a few.

These airlines existed and prospered during many a year. When things got tough, they either changed, merged, or no longer made themselves a viable entity. In either case it is MANAGEMENT's responsibility to respond. The employee's are just pawns on the chess board.

Bottom line....
Until you walk in my shoes....
Don't tell me how to walk...

Just my opinion...
