THe Teamsters suck we all know that, but the mechanics are weak and they will vote yes on almost anything so why should the Teamsters really fight so hard for us when they can load thier pockets with money. You mechanics need to keep voting no when they bring back a non industry leading contract. We will be losing our medical the pilots lost it the flight attendents lost it everybody at Cal has it we will get it too. Our pilots and flight attendents are the highest paid even our managment and ceo are the highest paid, it is time for us to be the highest paid and don't believe that crap about your not cargo so you can't be paid what they make thats bullcrap our pilots make more then UPS and Fed. WE are losing our medical we need to be paid the industry leading contract period wages benefits etc.

Cut back to 2.5 Mechanics per A/C like SWA and you can have all the money you want. Start hauling freight and you can make all the money you want. You are delusional about getting FedEx or UPS wages. There is only so much money to spread around and the Pilots get the biggest chunk, then the Stews etc. You get your slice of the pie and that's all there is. Why don't you run the company and pay all your employees freight wages and see how long you last. You will be back in BK faster than your little brain can say Yahtzee. United is already losing hundreds of millions every quarter since merger. Where will this money come from to pay you ? You should be worried more about that seniority list the IBT has been so diligently hammering out.

It's obvious pilots get the biggest chunk, but I've always thought that mechanics make more than fa's.
 
What are UAL Mechanics paying for Medical. Is it still 20% of costs? How much for a single person 90/10 plan? How much for a family 90/10?

We all warned you guys at UAL what would happen if you guys went ibt. Where's your industry leading contract, pay and bennies? Where's the promised pension? Where's the JSCBA? What happened to the locals with the teamsters? There's a reason they are called "locals" and now they are not "local" any more. Ask them why you guys are paying more in dues? And why you never got to vote on the ibt dues increase? Why are mechanics still on furlough and CO is hiring off the street? Why did the ibt sell out future mechanics with an extended top out rate? Why did the ibt change the seniority rules to the negative for recall? You guys get what you deserve, just like the US and AA guys will, if they so desire to do so. You guys screwed up when you voted out AMFA. With AMFA you guys should have replaced your officers if you were not happy, not your entire union. You cannot do this with any of the industrial unions. Enjoy them while you can...

Our best plan here at AA is the 80/20 plan with large Out of Pocket expenses. Most expensive and still sucks compared to the industry average.
