Hey...

I am looking to find out what Virgin America is offering for pay.

Pilot Capt & FO starting pay?

FA starting pay?

CSR starting pay?

Forgot to mention, I see their website www.virginamerica.com has these positions posted.

PilotCentral shows 1st year pay of $95/hour for Capt and $44/hour for F/O, with a $5/hour raise every year. For reference, B6 1st year pay is $110 and $47.

Using 12 years as top of scale equivalent to other carriers, that would put TOS at $155/hour and $104/hour respectively (although F/O's upgrading to Capt return to 1st year Capt pay, unlike other carriers where company longevity determines pay step).

Virgin Blue in Australia is known for their -- ehh -- subpar pay all around. For SFO staff, however, I cannot imagine they are paying SkyBus type wages, as the cost of living in the Bay Area borders on insanity. The cheapest flophouse is on the corner of Ripoff Rd and Robem Blind Dr.

San Francisco airport is within city limits and they have a minimum pay $9.14 per hour

As am anti-minimum wage Republican :p I will chalk this up to another strike against San Fran Sicko.

I think VX wants the best of both worlds; They want all of the flashy hippster destinations but the Low-cost pay/operating benefits. It's like going to Nordstroms and asking for the $3.99 Wal-Mart shirts ... Or excepting great service and $3.99 haute couture at K-Mart.
