I booked this 3 weeks out and it was a 767 all along. Just today I was curious about if anyone booked any seats and I found it to be a 757. Can anyone confirm this and tell me what are the chances it will be swapped back, and first why was it taken out in the first place. Is some other 767 or A330 not working so it got taken out of service to replace the other widebody bird? Really was looking forward to the Envoy seat.

It's still a 767.
 
Employee Travel showing a/c holds 8/185. EQ still shows 767 though, but with the a/c authorizations showing 8/185 its probably going to be a 757. They might be taking something out of service and subbed this. Cant check on it from home. Maybe someone in systems knows why the swap.
 
This flight is regularly swapped for a 757 during slow periods. It has happened to me a few times. They will show a 767, but dig deep enough, and you will find that it is a 757.

How often does it get swapped back, or swapped to the 321 like many FT'er say?
 
I fly this frequently. It is scheduled as a 767. If another 767 goes down though it goes back to europe and the broken one goes to CLT. It may be already scheduled as a 7W5 if they have 767 scheduled for maint or perhaps the 7W5 is going in.
