Intelligence: US Air Sets Star Alliance Livery Schedule
Aviation Daily07/19/2004

US Airways plans to have nine mainline aircraft painted in the Star Alliance livery by yearend, with three Boeing 757s and four Airbus A319s painted this fall. The paint schedule for the remaining two aircraft is still to be determined. In addition, four of the new regional jet deliveries will be painted in Star livery on the Bombardier and Embraer production lines.

Let's see, how I can I put negative spin on this? 😉

I hope the paint adheres better than than the Star Allicance stickers!
(What is the problem there anyway? Sloppy workmanship or inferior product...(bad glue?) Many of the stickers are already in terrible shape.

Since someone mentioned last week about the stickers coming off, I've been looking at every plane I meet. Today all 3 of the flights I worked had the sticker coming off so badly that you couldnt see the logo OR read the name at the bottom. Something is definitely wrong with them somewhere. If it is the stickers themselves, I hope we get them redone with no charge since they didnt even last a month on the plane. If its the way they're put on, someone needs to change the procedure ASAP because we arent doing anything but throwing money down the drain again since they dont last as currently made/applied. They look disgusting.

What? No Dash in the Star Livery? Boot to the head one more time.

I wish they would paint just one Dash in the white paint scheme, so that we could have one Dash that's not always 150 degrees on the inside.

when i first read the article,i thought it said "all nine mainline aircraft painted" i suppose thats not far down the road...

Does anyone know if all of our a/c have the stickers?

Don't know that, but---- They passed out those little pins at work for all of us to have, and I was SOOOO excited!!

I have seen a couple of planes that dont have the sticker outline so I think there aer still some that havent been done (the first time at least). 😀

94% of the fleet is completed. 26 aircraft had some damage to one or both decals. 9 of those aircraft have not yet been rectified.

Wow, and we had 3 of the 9 on our two gates back to back the same day last week. I find it hard to believe that there are only 9 flying around with sticker problems. I'll see what pops in at the gate tomorrow. 🙄

Well, only got to work one flight today thanks to the wonderful Florida tstorms that shut the ramp down for hours. AC 430 had no sticker on the boarding side at all and the one on the other side looked intact. Didnt get a chance to look at any other planes since we spent over 2 hours rerouting a full CLT flight after boarding.
I need another beer, CYA.
