Ups Resumes Hiring Pilots

Nor does freight have to tolerate cynical aircrews, nor does freight require the attention of surly front-line employees, nor does freight use Priceline.

Freight just has to move from point A to point B. And pays a fair charge for services.

And despite all this internet hoopla, freight cannot be digitized, ignored or post silly trip reports on a message board.

There will always be freight to move.

Find a UPS friend to sponsor you. This helps in sorting out the 17,567 applications they have on file. Good thing is they don't charge a fee like FedEx to apply. It's worth noting, FedEx is not hiring any active US Airways pilots or any active major airline pilots as per company policy, but that doesn't stop them from taking $50 from you to apply eventhough you don't have a rat's chance getting an interview. If you ask me, I think a class action lawsuit is in order against FedEx for all active pilots at all the major airlines that have applied paid $50.

Eyeinthe sky, you can probably count the number of active US Airways pilot who've been hired by any airline on one hand. The common refrain heard is "come back when you're furloughed". Companies feel a moral obligation to hire the unemployed or underemployed rather than someone who supposedly already has a "good job". Plus, we fortysomething career copilots don't exactly fit the profile anymore anyway. Go overseas, try to get into corporate/charter, or see if Kalitta will hire you - those are probably the options.

foreright everything is done online; they will accept no paper resumes or cover letters. You need a UPS employee to sponsor you if you are to have any chance of getting an interview. Good luck!
