Not sure if he was on the clock or not, but the vehicle involved does belong to UA...

Chances are probably high that he was on the clock if he's driving a company vehicle, and if not, well that's another problem altogether... They said maintenance, but don't say if it's aircraft or plant. If it's plant, then maybe he was working second shift.

The facility on Algonquin Road referred to in the article used to be the SOC and HDQ complex. That all moved to Sears Tower years ago, so not sure what all is there anymore, but they did just build what looks like a huge data center on the property (drove past when visiting my folks a few months back).
