Unfortunately, all the small stations will be gone due to the IAM iron clad contract and the TWU's loyalist bailing out on its own while they line themselves up for future IAM AGC jobs. This is why the private unionized workforce has now hit 7.8% for the first time since 1901. AND only 4% of under 25 year olds are unionized.

Congratulations to the Fleet Service workers, both east and west. Cool heads prevailed and all of you will continue to have union representation. Many on the east side (fleet) remember they lost almost everything when the union left the property in the early 90's.

To the west, don't believe the nonsense from those who want to hold office, but can't get elected. While the IAM has faults, as do all organizations, the IAM reps work for the betterment of their members.

All labor groups lost during the last few years, but I would hate to imagine how much worse it could have been without representation. Employees could do a lot worse than be represented by the IAM.

This IAM union will never be a union for the members it will be a cash cow for the International Bosses, District Lodge Under Bosses and Local Goons who will continue to charge excess amounts of money for a piss poor contract and represention only to better themselves. Let me give you and example theres this former CLT IAM dues payer deleted by moderator he was a total loyalist and for his loyalty his IAM job was eliminated. He doesnt even work for USAirways anymore he just sits at home on the internet typing away looking for a job from the IAM which he will never get. God this guy used to have a life and now all he does is write essays to support the IAM and its record for the worst representaion ever to be seen by the US workers.

I hope the TWU now IAM members will never be blinded so badly when there jobs are eliminated in the very near future.

TWU leaders lack spine and integrity. The only difference between TWU and IAM is that TWU never blinded an old guy. They would probably be stupid enough to stab their own eye out with a fork, however.
