You are kidding...we could barely get an update out of regular negotiations, and now you expect a tweet. :D

The APA and the APFA had a tweeter in the room! If the TWU was any kind of representation(LMAO), they would have a tweeter in the court room too!

I want to thank the APFA for tweeting on Friday on behalf of us TWU people.

This should be the last week in the American Airlines hearings to reject union contracts

There's a chance that final arguments may get delayed until after Memorial Day, but American Airlines and its three unions should wrap up their court battle over contract rejections this week.
Because of other matters on his docket. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane has delayed the start of Monday's hearings until noon EDT. From there, we expect the judge to keep American, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, Allied Pilots Association and Transport Workers Union in session late most days.
How late? It's not unusual to have hearings go past 6 p.m. Last Thursday, that day's hearing ended after 7 p.m.
So here's the likely schedule:
A. TWU finishes its case Monday or perhaps Tuesday.
B. American immediately begins presenting its rebuttal witnesses and testimony.
C. If the unions decide to do so, they'll offer their surrebuttal -- their rebuttal to American's rebuttal -- after American is finished with its rebuttal.
D. Assuming all sides will want to offer final arguments, they'll follow the rebuttal and surrebuttal.
E. Negotiators for American and the unions likely will sit down in mediated sessions with another U.S. bankruptcy judge, James Peck, beginning the week of June 4. Judge Lane has requested that the unions and company do so in hopes of getting consensual agreements.
F. By June 6, all parties have to submit their final briefs to Judge Lane's court, limited to 30 pages for each of the three unions, 75 pages for American Airlines.
G. By June 22, Judge Lane will make his ruling on American's motion to reject the union contracts.
To be clear on the TWU, the motion to reject now just covers the contracts of mechanics and related employees and maintenance stores employees. Because the other five TWU units approved American's last, best offer last week, those new contracts are not part of the motion to reject.

It seems like the international could spare one of their $150k secretaries to be in court to tweet some info.
I know; what a ridiculous thought...

Maybe they can find a spot to plug in one of their many fax machines and fax out updates? Or maybe run out to the pay phone in the lobby and call someone with a twitter feed?

This story is really all anyone needs to know about our chances in court.

I felt our case was compelling after reading the 400 page document submitted on our behalf.
I also felt we were on the wrong side of the bankrutpcy laws and the wrong side of history in such cases no matter how compelling our case was.

This article pretty much confirms I was correct in not leaving it to the judge to be our savior.

My question to the no voters is simply this:

What is your plan?

Why ask the NO VOTERS? It is the TWU Lawyer that needs a new plan!!!!

My question is to all the Presidents that advocated voting no because they had a better idea, I'm waiting to hear it.

Your question should be directed to Jim Little not the NO voters. We have no control...Remember which union we have?

We had nothing to loose voting NO !Chop shops all over USA are hiring if thats the kind of job you want.
Thats what a yes vote would have got you.And guess what the Last best final offer wasn't the last

So the TWU Lawyer gets is ass spanked over bringing up 2003 concessions and the glass half empty guy goes fear monger on us all and wants the NO VOTERS to produce a plan?

Go ask the TWU Lawyer what his plan in court is now that 2003 concessions are not of interest to the Judge.

I am not there presenting the case, I am not the one being hammered by the Judge.
It is this lawyer that needs a new plan, not me or any other no voter.

Go fill your glass a little more and stop with the panicked fear,

My question is to all the Presidents that advocated voting no because they had a better idea, I'm waiting to hear it.
The point is that the local president's did what their membership wanted. They did not wait on the TWU International to make a decision for them.

Read Mr. Little's letter of 05/21/2012 let me know if you believe everything he says.

when did you ever see the international come out and explain the contract with it's full language? never. it took four presidents to go through it and explain the truth of what you were about to vote in. like most people that voted yes, they only read the side by side of the "fear sheet." you were willing to give up years of agreements, language, negciations, the work it took to get there, and our future work, for what? you sound like you were willing to bend over and grab your ankles with a smile. you think it was saving jobs, money and whatever else, it was not. all smoke and mirrors to rap our careers here at aa. nothing that the yahoo hewitt said about the new fleet was in writing. if it's not in writing, it's not true and this idiot now wants to join the band of buddy f-ers called the twu. go figure. nobody said the judge will give us anything better but at least i am not willing to just give up w/o a fight like the 4543 members of 514 are and all the rest that voted yes. all the other groups are stuck for 6 more years. probably even longer. are you willing to start over from nothing, have nothing to bargin with and set a precedence set for all other future contracts? sounds like you were. lbo, my a$$. company even said it was ridiculous and people were still willing to vote it in. so you have to wonder, if it passed how many were taking the early out and retirement? that was basiclly a f-you i got mine and i'm outta here vote and what would the rest of the people that have to stay here be stuck with, a bs contract that is probably the worst in history. so are your fellow yes voters really looking out for "the jobs and o/h" or themselves? now, get on board with the majority and vote out the twu and put in a union only for the amt's. like we should have done in 2003. if we are able to get a better contract than the lbo, i bet you will be glad it was voted down and will be thanking the no voters. if it's worse then you can get on here and say i told y'all so till you're blue in the face.
