FWAAA,

I quit UniTED to come to Frontier. Back home living in Denver till my retirement in 12 years at my vacation/working coffee farm in Costa Rica. In my 30+ years of working in aviation FWAAA I have not relied on ANYONE but MYSELF to fund a relaxed and enjoyable retirement. And I have even put two boys thru college and have one more whos edjucation is already payed for.

UniTED suxs, it's always suc'd and your all getting screwed AGAIN! Yes F9 is 10 times the place to work than UAL HELL! I wish you all the best of luck while your management AGAIN, laughs at everyone of you all the way to the bank!

 :D

So Mr Fish is actually a coffee farmer from Costa Rica? I didn't believe for a moment that he was a real airline professional.

Definitely not a professional anything based on his inability to carry on a reasonable and logical conversation without slandering, demeaning, or exhibiting irrational tirades. His ability to self-promote is unmatched on the forum, however. Perhaps he could be a professional a**h..., er, fishinghole?

Fish gives me this picture of the plumber who is bent over trying to fix a sink with the crack of his ass in plain view--thinking the world is all 'ducky', until he realizes that he forgot to turn the water off. I think Fish is in 'pre-realization' mode with his F9 visions of granduer...Fly's right, UA just hasn't been the same since Fish left--Tilton has that dark day circled on his calendar--I'm sure!

Regardless of what you think of Fishy, the plan to give out 15% of the company to the top 400 managers & VP's is a huge slap in the face to the remaining 90%+ of UA's employees..

Management should have no more of an equity stake in the reorganized company than the smallest stake for any of the four unions or the non-salaried employees below the senior manager or managing director level.

Agree with above post by former moderaator.

Read the article. UA mgmt cites a study they paid for by TowersPerrin.

Methinks Glenn & Jake were just paying for some backup data.

I don't buy the 'we've got to incentivize mgmt talent to remain during BK' line of reasoning because nobody has to remain at UA.

And the current UA mgmt is only looking to cash out. Three years in BK is beyond ridiculous.

Either everybodys gets the same goodies or nobody does.

Besides, Tilton is divvying up spoils that have yet to be realized.

Voodoo accounting.

<_< Why Mr.Former ModerAAtor! What would Arpy and Co. think of a statement like that from a member of his management no less!? You guys got to stick together on things like this!

I totally agree with you, I didn't say it was right! But it has been shown in the past (REMEMBER EFLOP) management doesn't give two S&!TS about the employee groups at UniTED. But non the less they still bend over and take it!

A huge slap in the face?? More like a boot kick in the face knocking all the front teeth to the floor. Disgusting.

Think about it for a minute... You work for 30+ years for a company, giving performance worthy of gold. Then your promised pension becomes a bargaining chip flipped to the floor and lost without a care. Too bad for you. Just remember my pension is covered by a contract, that is what Tilton will tell you. Mean while the old devoted employee has to buy beans to eat for dinner while Tilton dines on caviair dipped in gold. I wan't people sent to jail over this mess! And I don't even have any vested interest! I am just watching a crime being commited by UAL mgmt. form the side lines. If you work for UAL or if you have had your retirement dreams stolen by UAL you should be screaming like and puppy as his foot is being stepped on!!!!! People are listening! Pension loss should be a crime. I have to have my car insured 100%. My home MUST be 100% insured for full replacement value. Pensions handed over to the PBGC will pay out at, what 45%. NO. if you offer a pension it must be insured to 100% or fully funded. If you can't afford the insurance you can't offer the pension as PART OF THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE!!!PERIOD. That is what a car sales man will the you. Either you can afford the ins. or you can't buy the car. A home cost is both the payment and the ins. A pension should be, by law, either fully funded or fully insuered. Any one out there agree? A promise is a promise. People plan for decades based on these promises. UAL people are being raped as we stand by. I just don't want it to happen to me. My pension is also most likley a bug lie. It won't be there either when I need it. Gone. Off to buy fast cars for the next crook.
