This doesn't look good, anyone else seen this? You may need to keep an eye out for this kind of stuff.

The Northwest Airlines Boarding Pass Generator.
or
The TSA Emperor Has No Clothes

This webpage will produce a boarding pass good enough to get anyone past TSA, and thus, into the "secure" gate areas of the airport terminal.
Note that this will not be a valid pass, so it will not get you on the airplane. For that, you need to actually buy a ticket.
Why would you want one of these?

To meet your elderly grandparents at the gate
To 'upgrade' yourself once on the airplane - by printing another boarding pass for a ticket you're already purchased, only this time, in Business Class.
Just to demonstrate that the TSA Boarding Pass/ID check is useless.

Link Here

FWIW, this is nothing new. All you need to do is save the HTML of a valid boarding pass, receipt or whatever from any airline. Then, just open that HTML in any web page development tool, change data as needed, display in IE and print. This isn't rocket science ... my 12 year old cousin could do it.

Interesting... with web printed boarding passes, I never thought of that. But I see your point. Maybe this website has a valid point.

It appears I'm a little behind the curve, kinda like the TSA...maybe I should apply?

like the guy says, most likely printing boarding passes at home will be in the past.

Oh well.

This is such a non-issue. The only reason this is an issue is because the people making a stink have no idea how this works, including the guy that made the website.

I volunteered to work the gates following September 11 and the process of checking the boarding pass at security NEVER had the intention of stopping terrists at the check point. The sole purpose was to limit the number of people going through the security check point because of the increased screening procedures.

Previously, whole families could go through to see their loved one off. Can you imagine the lines if they allowed that?

The only thing this guy is guilty of is stupidity for thinking he's exposing a weakness.

Completely agree. He actually advocates banning online checkin, as if there's a real security hole here.
