The dumbing down of America

Courtesy of Facebook. Got snowed in today and was looking on Facebook. Someone "shared" a story designed to outrage good God fearing, troop loving America, It's an old story about a guy named Craig Pusley It was from December. I'm linking to something to debunk this idiot because so far almost a quarter million outraged Americans have "shared" the story.

The comments keep rolling in on Facebook. The guy is a hero to most of those posters. And they'd be honored to have him "protect" their kids. He wore desert camouflage and stood in front of the school. He told people that he was a sergeant in the Marines. He told them that he had served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. The REAL story is that 4 years ago he went thru basic training, shortly after that...nine months after enlisting, the Marines discharged him. He never got past boot camp.

Now...even after Sandy Hook, people were commending this guy - who lied about who and what he was. And they'd be proud to have him in front of their kids school. IMHO, the guy is delusional.

But it's on Facebook and Obama sucks and nobody follows up at all. It really doesn't bode well for America

To many people (left right and other) takes things at face value instead of doing a bit of checking to find out facts for them selves. Kind of like making apost about the CPUSA suing the DNC. Some folks just do not care about the truth so long as their POV is supported.

Yeah south...but these folks apparently are mostly republican since they praise the guy without question, but slam Obama (then "share" the post).

It's funny..some of the folks who support this clown say "so what if he lied". And I'll bet every one of them will say that impeaching Clinton for lying about a blowjob was the right thing to do. And this guy lied about much more

Here's the thing these people don't get - I tried to explain it, but with facebook it's see, get outraged, make a comment of support, and "share"...First, the principal of the school should get reprimanded. The only thing this guy brought to the table was a camouflage uniform. He lied about being in the Marines. Lied about his rank. Lied about his service record. And they let him stand in front of a school.

Now...anybody can go down to the Army/Navy store and pick up a pair of cammies. I can....you can....a pedophile can....even a deranged idiot bent on shooting up a school can. Then....shave your head. Next - don the camo and head to the school. Let the pedophile claim to be a Marine Captain who saw two tours of duty in Iraq and suffered an injury that brought him home. Nevermind that the guy never served a day in the military. With those lies out of the way and the ever so convincing look of the camos - a pedophile can now be "standing guard" outside a kids school. Kind of scary. Especially when you consider they conduct background checks on freaking JANITORS, but the principal let this guy stand outside his school. And that should scare the crap out of parents with little kids, but these Facebook pea brains think the guy is just great. Even AFTER you point out all his lies.

It was kind of funny today...there were a couple of Marines posting about the guy and they didn't like him much at all. And whenever some clone posted about how this guy was a hero, they'd light into them telling them that the guy was a disgrace to the Marines. Some idiots were claiming "once a Marine, always a Marine"...but I think that only applies to the ones who actually make it thru boot camp.

IT's odd that the movie started out as fiction and comedy...and it IS very funny. But sadly, the more time passes, the more it starts looking like a documentary
